We can't protect what we don't know, and photography becomes a powerful tool to reveal the hidden gems of our planet—those wonders that aren't always visible to the naked eye. Through my images, I aim to connect hearts with nature and ignite a deep commitment to its care and preservation.

MONGOLIA BACTRIAL

Viajar es mi orgullo y mi trabajo de tiempo completo desde hace 8 años, no es fácil ni siempre es color de rosa (como las redes sociales lo pueden pintar) pero siempre ha valido la pena.

Es un privilegio ya que no todos lastimosamente tienen los recursos para hacerlo, por eso nunca lo doy por garantizado y agradezco cada oportunidad.

Pero si tienes la oportunidad de viajar, no lo dudes y HAZLO, lo más pronto posible, viajar te abre la mente, te vuelve más tolerante y respetuoso.

Uno de mis últimos destinos me sorprendió enormemente, y ese fue Mongolia, la gente, su cultura, su amabilidad y su orgullo de ser Mongoles.

Su espíritu conquistador sigue ahí al mismo tiempo que su capacidad de asombrar a sus visitantes.

One of my major goals to visit Mongolia was to know from very close the amazing world of the Bactrial Camels, I would never imagine that I even will ride one in the desert 😳😱

SNOW LEOPARD

We spend more than 8 hours looking the behavior of this incredible cats, we manage to be witnesses of one of the most rare behaviors to see , the mating moment! Every effort worth it when you see this animal in fronted of you.

MANUL

The amazing Pallas Cat was very high in my wishlist, I really dream about to see it and photograph it, now I can tell that for sure is a beautiful survivor of the harsh Mongolian Winter.

We spend some hours with this beautiful cat and I manage to get a really nice photos, that I will remember for ever.

Pero-Tip: When you have an animal very close and wants to do a portrait don’t forget to close the aperture (anything between F7.1 to F13) in order to have a more wide deep of field.

WILHELM STELLER

The name of this eagle is a dedicated to a 18th century explorer and zoologist, knows as the heaviest eagle in the world and the biggest of all the sea eagles, this wonderful creature is diurnal and it makes their nest in Russia, Kamchatka Peninsula.

It’s well know as aggressive eagle that love to fish in the cold waters of the ocean around Japan, Russia, China and South Korea.

Flying Squirrel

Every winter the flying squirrel became a famous rockstar in the north of Hokkaido island in Japan, their white fur and their ability to “plane” with their wings make them very charismatic little creatures.

I continuos remember the day that I saw a photo of the Pallas cat for the first time, I was so shocked for that kind of strange beauty with that wonderful fluffy fur. I just dreamed about photograph this wild cat.

Well, that dream comes true, I travel to the most amazing pristine landscape and in the very cold mountains we manage to photograph this incredible specie.

EZO MOMONGA

The original name of Hokkaido island was “Ezogashima��” and that is why many animals in the island has the name Ezo before the name.

The flying squirrel is an endemic subspecie of the Siberian Flying squirrel and right now is protected by the law.

It is particularly difficult to photograph because is nocturnal and its behavior occurs more when si completely dark. We wait outside the holes for hours just to have a couple of minutes of chance to photograph this amazing specie.

It’s a very Kawaii specie! 😍

Este es el mono o macaco que tiene la distribución más al norte del mundo, soportando fuertes inviernos, su pelaje se vuelve más grueso en el invierno y se alimenta de hojas, semillas y otras plantas.

Las fuentes de agua termal natural son sus favoritas para tener un descanso del frío.

The fox is very important in the Japanese folklore, is actually part of the ancient forest and represent the mystical presence that protect all the forest and villages all over Japan.

I was exploring the north of Hokkaido and one afternoon we find this beautiful fox surviving to the cold weather.

PRESENCE

Thanks to my job I am able to see many wonderful species in the world, and even I have photograph big powerful eagles, but nothing will prepare me to the experience that I had today, one of my most beloved dreams came true to be in front and just a couple of meters away from this POWERFUL eagle, the amazing: Stellar Eagle.

This eagle lives in the Rusia peninsula of Kamchatka and every winter visit the north of Japan, they are the personification of power itself, the huge wingspan, the powerful beak and the inquisitive look. My feeling was only about humbleness in front of this bird of prey.

ANCIENT POWER

Today was a wonderful cold afternoon with a group of Red Crowned Cranes dancing and interacting between them.

In the northern island of Hokkaido in Japan this cranes are considered sacred and the people really enjoy to share their love with this beautiful birds.

GESTURES

One of my favorite things to photograph monkeys are the amazingly similar gestures that they have in comparison with humans. I can spend whole day seeing the behaviors and expressions of this amazing primates.

SNOW MONKEY

The only specie of monkey in Japan, the Japanese Macaque is the only primate (non-human) that live this north in the globe, they are very special because they use this hot springs to recover energy and warm the body.

I came to Japan to do scouting and research about some of the most amazing wildlife around here.

The Savanah ecosystem allows to brazil to have one of the biggest industries on cattle in the world. Some species that were previously adapted to Savanah became quite regular in this kind of landscape.

I would say that in pantanal south you can see in one afternoon at least 3 different giant anteater.

SYLPH

When you are photographing with natural light the only way to freeze the wings of hummingbirds is with a high shutter speed, in this case it was 1/3200 of a second, my F number or aperture was f2.8 but I don’t recommend to have this little deep of field. Usually a F7.1 works very good to have everything in focus but of course your ISO will suffer!

I always says in photography parameters there is nothing such as “free” decision! You need to sacrifice something in order to have a good photo.

MARVELOUS SPATULETAIL

Maybe the most beautiful hummingbird in the world and the most rare! This tiny jewel is not only endemic of Peru, is not only endemic of Amazonas Region is micro-endemic of the Uctubamba River area.

The male has this amazing tails to make a dance for the female and impress her for matting purposes.

COCK OF THE ROCK

This specie is a wonderful example of the different morphs that an specie can have, if you travel to the orient part of the Andes mountain you will find the same specie of cock of the rock but the color is more orange.

El camino de las ranitomeyas

Las ranas robaron mi corazón hace mucho, pero nunca imaginé donde me llevarían, gracias a las ranas he conocido tribus indígenas increíbles, paisajes impresionantes y conocer a enamorados de la biodiversidad como yo.

Perú me ha dejado sin palabras por su biodiversidad de ranitomeyas, un pequeño grupo de ranas venenosas diurnas con tantos patrones y colores como puedas imaginar.

Está que les comparto hoy es tal vez una de las más buscadas y que me ha llevado ya dos visitas al lugar para lograrla. Por supuesto con mis queridos amigos de @dendrobirdsperu

MIRIN

The tamandua mirin is one of the anteaters that live in the flat wetlands of Pantanal. Pantanal is the biggest wetland in the world and the anteater is always looking for termite mounts and use its long sticky tongue to catch as many termites as it can.

One cold and beautiful sunrise we found this little fellow looking for its breakfast.

One of the most beautiful wild cats of Costa Rica, usually live in primary forest and some mature secondary forest, importante predator of rodents, birds and other little mammals, difficult to actually see it in the wild but sometimes you can get lucky.

PYGMY OWL

An endemic diurnal owl of Costa Rica that only exist in the highlands. There is 2 different morphs of this specie (Brown and Rufous) this one in the photo is a rufous morph.

This tiny owl is capable to hunt preys as big as 3 times its size!
